SAMPLE                                    Lease Agreement

 

 

This Agreement is being made between Diane Gibson, dba Pretty Girl Farm, LLC, herein known as Lessor,

and _____________________________ residing at ________________________, herein known as Lessee.

 

This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions agreed to for the Lease of the horse listed below:

Lessor agrees to allow Lessee use of this horse for a period of one year, beginning on _________________

and ending on ___________________. The leasing fee of $100.00 per month payable on the first of each month.

 

The Lessee will keep and maintain this horse in good health and body condition by providing adequate feed,

shelter and veterinary care, if necessary, during this lease period. This includes regular worming, vaccination,

coggins, trimming and/or shoeing expenses.

 

The Lessee assumes full responsibility for the horse during this lease period and will provide to the Lessor

proof of insurance covering the value ($________) of said horse, with Lessor named as beneficiary. Should

the horse suffer catastrophic illness/injury, Lessor will be notified within 24 hours of the incident and a mutual

agreement for disposition will be made upon call.

 

The Lessee agrees to hold harmless the Lessor from any injury to any person or damage to property caused

by said horse during the period of this Lease.

 

All board and hauling expenses for the horse will be borne by the Lessee.

 

Lessee agrees to provide Lessor with knowledge of the physical location of the horse at all times. The horse

may not be shipped outside the Commonwealth of Virginia without written permission from the Lessor.

 

Lessor may inspect the horse to ascertain that proper care is being provided and may reclaim said horse if

unsatisfied with the treatment/care being provided.
